The reconciliation talks over Ile Arugbo on Ilofa Road, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State which commenced last Thursday has met a brick wall.

The meeting between the representatives of the state government and Asa Investment Limited allegedly owned by the late Dr Olusola Saraki ended on Tuesday without an agreement or a date for another meeting.

The meeting, which started at 4.48pm, ended at 5.48pm, it was learnt.

The counsel for Asa Investment Limited, AbdulAziz Ibrahim, said the two parties could not reach any concrete agreement.

“We have not been able to agree on definite terms. We have adjourned for us to meet again and see if we can iron out some proposed terms of settlement. We hope to meet again before the next adjourned date in court. No date yet has been fixed.”

None of the government representatives was willing to respond to reporters’ inquiries at the end of Tuesday meeting.

Recall that the counsel for Kwara State Government and Asa Investment Limited at the Court session on January 24, 2020 agreed on the need to settle the issue of the revocation of the land and demolition of Ile Arugbo out of court while representatives of the two parties last Thursday held the inaugural reconciliation meeting.
