The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) has announced the commencement of registration for its upcoming Mediation Skills Accreditation and Certification Course, scheduled to take place in Port Harcourt from June 16 to 20, 2025.

The five-day intensive training is the Institute’s flagship entry-level course and is open to professionals across all disciplines and industries. It will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a course fee of ₦350,000.

According to the Institute, the training is designed to equip participants with practical, behaviorally specific techniques for managing conflict and improving interpersonal effectiveness. Beyond workplace benefits, these mediation skills are described as essential life skills for fostering healthy, productive relationships in everyday life.

Participants who successfully complete the course and are inducted into the Institute will be conferred with the professional title “AICMC” (Associate Member, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators).

“This course is an opportunity for individuals looking to build capacity in dispute resolution and enhance both their personal and professional effectiveness,” the Institute said in a statement.

Members of the public and current ICMC members are encouraged to share the training details with colleagues, friends, and family who may be interested.
