The husband of popular social media personality and herbal vendor, Eniola Fagbemi, popularly known as Sisi Alagbo, Adesola Akeem, has publicly apologised over a leaked intimate video involving himself, his wife and another woman.

The video, which surfaced online on Monday, has generated widespread controversy across social media platforms.

It was said to have first circulated on WhatsApp groups and Telegram channels before spreading to gossip blogs, Instagram pages and other websites.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Thursday, Akeem expressed remorse over the incident and said he accepted full responsibility for his actions.

“I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse to extend my heartfelt apologies to my family, friends, business associates, religious leaders, fans, loved ones, and the entire Nigerian public over the recent incident involving a leaked sex scandal,” he wrote.

“I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused, and I take full responsibility for my actions.”

Akeem admitted that his conduct fell below the standard expected of him by those who had trusted, supported and looked up to him.

He specifically apologised to his family, friends, business associates, religious bodies, fans and supporters, saying he regretted letting them down.

“To my fans and supporters, I deeply regret letting you down,” he said.

He described the period as one of sober reflection and said he was committed to making better decisions, rebuilding trust and upholding integrity in his private and public life going forward.

“I am committed to making better decisions, rebuilding trust, and upholding integrity in both my private and public life going forward,” he added.

His apology came a day after Sisi Alagbo also issued a public apology on her verified Facebook page over the leaked video.

Fagbemi, who said she owned her mistakes, expressed deep regret to those who felt disappointed by the incident.

“I own my mistakes, and I apologise with all sincerity for the video circulating online. I am deeply sorry to everyone who felt disappointed in me,” she wrote.

The Oyo-based herbal vendor also disclosed that the backlash had taken a heavy emotional toll on her, saying she had been unable to eat or sleep since the video began circulating.

“I am already passing through a lot. I can’t eat or sleep for days. Even sleeping medicines aren’t working for me any longer,” she said.

Appealing for forgiveness and public understanding, she added, “Please forgive me. I don’t want to injure myself. I only have a little strength left.”

Sisi Alagbo rose to prominence through her promotion of herbal products and later became a social media sensation after a viral video showed her kneeling to greet Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The leaked video has continued to attract mixed reactions online, with many users criticising the couple while others have urged the public to show restraint and allow them deal with the matter privately.
