A candidate for General Council of the Bar and the Immediate Past Chairman Nigerian Bar Association Ohafia Branch, Dave Ndara Okwun-Kalu, has highlighted areas he will be devoting his wealth of knowledge and experience to when elected the Eastern Region Representative of GCB, come next month.

According to the information Dave made available to TheNigerialawyer, he noted that the positions and exposures he has garnered has helped in building his capacity for leadership.

He said: “Next month the polls, for us to vote in the NBA 2022 Elections, opens.

“It’ll be a keen contest with high stakes considering the somewhat uncertain times, advances in technology, the challenges and concerns we all seem to have with our profession and ultimately, the build up to the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria.

“The General Council of the Bar (GCB) plays a critical role in the smooth running of the practice of our profession.

“Amongst other functions, it is saddled with the duty of making and revising the RPC & Rules of Accounts to be kept by Lawyers.

“Your choice of Rep. on the GCB should therefore be premised on objective considerations of qualifications, expertise, experience, character and demonstrated competence.
