A human rights non-governmental organisation with offices in Lagos and Abuja has announced vacancies for four Legal Adviser positions in its Litigation and Legal Advice Unit.

The organisation said two of the successful applicants will be posted to its Lagos office, while the remaining two will work from its Abuja office.
According to the vacancy notice, interested applicants must be highly qualified lawyers with at least seven years’ post-call litigation experience and knowledge of anti-corruption and human rights issues.
The organisation said applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to human rights, transparency and accountability, as well as the ability to think legally, analytically, strategically and effectively.
Other requirements include excellent written and oral communication skills in English, the ability to plan and prioritise work properly, and the capacity to manage multiple demands efficiently.
Applicants are also expected to have the ability to defend and explain complex legal issues and positions to staff, advocate those positions externally, and work collaboratively with persons within and outside the organisation.
The organisation said salaries and benefits for the positions are competitive but will be subject to the experience of successful candidates.
