Gov. Okowa Distributes SUVs To Judges

It is a deliberate effort to improve the welfare of Judges and motivate them for efficient and speedy justice delivery in the State. The beneficiaries were the second batch of Judges to be provided vehicles this year. Presenting the cars to the Judges over the weekend at the High Court Complex Asaba, the State Chief Judge, Justice Marshal Umukoro implored them to reciprocate the gesture of the Government by rededicating themselves to efficient, speedy dispensation of justice. The Judicial Officers who were excited by the gift commended the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for taking the welfare of Judges as one of the priorities of his administration, stating that the provision of the vehicles would ease their job as ministers in the temple of justice. They equally thanked the State Chief Judge, Justice Marshal Umukoro for facilitating the provision of the vehicles, pledging their unalloyed loyalty and support in his well-articulated policy to reposition the third arm of government for effective service delivery in line with its Constitutional mandate.
