As voting for the Nigerian Legal Awards 2021 resumes after about 24 hours of downtime, the organisers have released the demography of voting patterns.

According to Lere Fashola, the convener of the Awards, This year’s award has witnessed massive participation of voters from over 40 countries across the globe including US China, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe and many more.

The Nigerian Rising Stars Category of the Nigerian Legal Awards 2021 recognises 40 under 40 lawyers who will shape the Future of the profession.

Following a rigorous process of sieving over 600 entries received from different parts of the world, the organisers have shortlisted about 120 people who will be considered for the final rounds of the process of deciding winners for this year’s award.

This voting process is a precursor to the final selection by the Judges. Judges will review both the submitted documents and the percentage of votes with a view to arising at the final 40 who will be awarded at the Nigerian Legal Awards Dinner taking place on th 7^th November, 2021 at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Lagos.

The Nigerian Rising Stars Award recognises 40 outstanding lawyers of Nigerian decent who are below the age of 40 and who have shown very early in their professional life those leadership and exceptional traits that have distinguished the very best of the legal profession. These are young Nigerians who exemplify distinction and quality service delivery and demonstrate superior leadership, reputation, influence, stature and profile as Lawyers. Nominees are drawn from both Local and International organisations including Law Firms, Companies, NGOs, Government and other Regulatory bodies.
