*Says FHC. CJ, Justice Tosho Granted Temporary Use Of Central Business District Alaus

The Lagos State Judiciary has released a 2021 posting for High Court Judges.

The list and circular which was signed by the Lagos State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba and made available to THENIGERIALAWYER(TNL), contains the present postings of the judges to the new court location.

Read the circular:

The circular reads:

POSTING OF HONOURABLE JUDGES 2021 EFFECTIVE 03/08/2021

Please recall the dislocation caused by the burning down of the Igbosere High Court Lagos premises during the “End-SARS” protest in October 2020 which led to Hon. Judges in the said premises being unable to sit thereafter.

Efforts made to address the situation have just yielded some results. The Lagos State Government has graciously taken over and redesigned the Dolphin Jetty, Lagos into a Complex of Eight (8) Courtrooms and other administrative offices. The Lagos State Judiciary has also been able to reconstruct the Juvenile Court Premises in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, into a Complex of Four (4) Courtrooms and other Administrative offices.

The Hon. Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, my brother. Hon. Justice Tsoho, also graciously permitted us a temporary use of the Court’s premises located at the Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja.

“To the Glory of God, we are now able to relocate to these new premises to accommodate Your Lordships so that Court sittings begin in earnest with minimal inconvenience.

I am, therefore. pleased to and do hereby inform Your Lordships a the underlisted postings. As usual, all Honourable Judges are to retain their part-heard cases irrespective of any new posting/location as applicable. No item of furniture should be removed from any of the Courts and/or Chambers. Should there be a need for any it of furniture or other requirements, a request should be made to the H. Chief Judge for immediate attention.
I wish all Your Lordships a peaceful and prosperous return to full duty and God bless.

Signed:

HON. JUSTICE K.O. ALOGBA, HON. CHIEF JUDGE LAGOS STATE
