The nights of tributes for the late Justice was held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. The cleric who gave the sermon said death was no respecter of persons as both the rich and poor would die one day and death does not give time before it strikes. “We must think and re-assess our lives because the bible said except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God and God has given us an opportunity this evening to re-assess our life.” Former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Goodluck Jonathan, described late Justice Uche, as a serious-minded, dedicated and resilient woman. The Former President said that though she is dead, her enduring legacies in life will continue to speak for her. “How long one lives on earth does not matter but the impacts, and what you left behind. What you delivered is what matters not the number of years. “Late Justice Uche brought up decent family that has contributed immensely to the development of the country. She was a blessed woman,” he concluded. Former Chief Judge of Delta State, Rosaline Patricia Irorefe Bozimo, who was her friend and law schoolmate, said that late Judges Christiana Uche was one of the foundation judges of Abia state judiciary, and that, she has printed her footprint in a gold and her name in the good book. “She was a judge that led the way for so many judges and lawyer of today. She lived an exemplary life and a life well accomplished. Those who have drunk from her cup will never forget her like the International Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA), Nigeria, and many others.” The NBA President, Paul Usoro, SAN, who was unavoidably absent was ably represented by J.K Gadzama, SAN. Speaking, he said that late Justice Christaina, lived a good life which should serve as a deep lesson to all. J.K Gadzam, SAN who represented the chairman of the BOSAN, Asiwaju Solomon Awomolo (SAN), spoke on behalf of body said that the fact that eminent personalities were there, is an eloquent testimony of how Mama lived her life. “Mama had all the qualities of a virtous woman. A good judge listens consciously, answers wisely, consider soberly and decides courageously. This was how mama behaved. “We must take solace that both life and death comes through the same creator. In Christendom, we don’t believe in death but we believe that such a person has transformed to meet the creator as no one can meet Christ without dying” Dignitaries present at the event included Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Former Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Peter Odili, Former Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada, Former Governor of Imo State, Achike Udenwa, Minister of information, Lai Mohammad, Former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Osinbajo, SAN, who was ably represented, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghen who was ably represented, Asiwaju Solomon Awomolo (SAN), Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome, Justice Binta Nyako, Justice, Ijeoma Ojukwu, Members of the National Assembly, Former Governors, Ministers, Judges and other top government functionaries.]]>
