Major-General Bernard Onyeuko (rtd), a former military spokesperson, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of service to the nation.
According to a reliable source from PRNigeria, he passed away on Saturday morning after complaining of feeling unwell and experiencing cold symptoms. He was promptly taken to a private hospital for medical attention, but sadly, he couldn’t overcome his health issues.
General Onyeuko, who had retired from the Nigerian Army following the recent appointment of new Service Chiefs, was highly regarded for his contributions during his military career. Notably, he had served as the Director of Defence Media Operations, where he played a pivotal role in disseminating crucial information to the public.
A close friend of the departed, speaking to PRNigeria, shared that Major-General Onyeuko was in good health on Friday. However, his condition suddenly deteriorated on Saturday morning, leading to his untimely passing.
