The Erstwhile National Welfare Secretary of the NBA, Mr Adesina Adegbite, FICMC has felicitated with Madam Folake Solanke SAN on her 90th birthday.
He lauded the exemplary efforts of the Learned Silk and described her as an inspiration to many generations.
He also described as her as a mentor to many successful legal luminaries like Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, Chief Lateef Fagbemi amongst others and that she deserved all accolades she’s getting after her remarkable journey from being a Teacher to a distinguished Legal Luminary.
Below is his full birthday message to Madam Folake Solanke SAN:
The essence of life is in celebration and appreciation, hence the decision to specially celebrate the iconoclastic sample of grace and legal juggernaut of our generation.
Without mincing word, there is much sense and wisdom in celebrating our birthdays because everyday counts in the journey of destiny. No wonder we don’t celebrate birth months but birthdays.
Mama Solanke (I dare not call her first name) is much favoured by God to attain this feat- ascendancy to the nineth floor in absolute wellness and undeniable accomplishments. May the Almighty God be forever praised for seeing Mama through the crucibles of life to gain and succeed 9 decades in sound health.
Mama has been an inspiration to many generations before me. If prominent, distinguished and accomplished bar leaders like the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN (Mama’s Professional Son) and Chief Lateef Fagbemi SAN (Mama’s Adopted Son) among several others of their peers see Mama as their role model, then I count myself extremely lucky to be part of the generations inspired by Mama even as I with the leave of Mama which I believe will be graciously granted, proclaim myself as Mama’s Adopted Grandson.
A rare gem who started as a Mathematician and a Teacher then ended up not just as a lawyer but as a distinguished legal luminary deserves all the accolades on this special day of her 90th birthday Anniversary. Te deum laudamus- we praise thee O God
I join numerous people of like minds to celebrate you today and always. May the special Grace of God over your life forever abound with you ma.
Happy 90th Birthday Mama Solanke, the Amazon of the Bar!
Felicen diem Natalem”
