The Karibi-Whyte family of Abonnema, Akuku Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State has released the funeral arrangements of late Hon. Justice Adolphus Godwin Karibi-Whyte, CON, CFR, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria who died on 22nd May, 2020.

According to the Notice signed by Gogo Karibi-Whyte on behalf of the family made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), Commendation Service is slated for Friday 25th September 2020 by 10 am at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, 37 Hospital Road, Town, Port Harcourt.

The burial ceremony comes up the next day 26th September 2020. Body Leaves Ashes to Ashes Mortuary, Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, Forces Avenue, Port Harcourt, to WHYTE’s compound Abonnema by 7 am. Lying in state shall take place by 9:30 am at Jack’s compound, Abonnema while funeral service shall hold by 10 am at St. Augustine Anglican Church, Abonnema.

Interment shall follow immediately after at his private residence in Obonnema. Reception and refreshment shall also hold immediately after

Thanksgiving service will come up on the 27th of September, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Abonnema by 10 am

The funeral programme will be carried out in very strict compliance with the Rivers State Government Rules as it relates to COVID 19. Guests are advised to be orderly and observe Social Distancing at all times. FACE MASKS/FACE SHIELDS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Faith Asrame Karibi-Whyte, and the following children: Dr. (Mrs) Asikia Ige, Esq.; Mrs. Tonye Uwensuyi-Edowomwan; Mr. Gogo Karibi-Whyte, Esq.; Mr. Abiye Karibi-Whyte; Dr. Tokini Karibi-Whyte; Mr. Sodigi Karibi-Whyte and Mr. Oshioma Brai. He left several grandchildren

In-laws of the deceased are Uwensuyi-Edowomwan, SAN; Mrs. Ifueko Karibi-Whyte; Mrs. Bukky Karibi-Whyte; Mrs. Zainab Karibi-Whyte; Mrs. Renee Karibi-Whyte and Mr. Oshioma Brai
