Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore, SOOB LAW, has announced the admission of Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, into ICC FraudNet, an invitation-only global network of leading independent lawyers specialising in commercial fraud and asset recovery.

ICC FraudNet is organised under the auspices of the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce, ICC.

The network is recognised by Chambers and Partners as a top-ranked Band 1 network for tackling commercial fraud and asset recovery.

According to SOOB LAW, ICC FraudNet has 128 members across 82 countries and nine strategic members, offering a full range of services to victims of fraud to assist in the recovery of assets and lost value.

With his admission, Akangbe becomes one of only two substantive Nigerian members of the network, alongside Ayodele Akintunde, SAN.

Babajide Ogundipe, who was the first Nigerian member of the network, has moved to the rank of emeritus member.

SOOB LAW described Akangbe’s admission as a testament to his excellence, integrity and outstanding expertise in complex dispute resolution and asset recovery.

The firm added that the recognition also reflects the growing global acknowledgment of Nigerian legal talent.

“We congratulate Mr. Akangbe, SAN, on this well-deserved international recognition,” the firm stated.
