Immediate Past Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association Ewenode O. William, Esq.,  has expressed his gratitude to members of the NBA Ota Branch (Utter  Bar), for the privilege given to him to a  discussant at the just concluded Law Week of the branch.

Ewenode who was invited as one of the Discussants on the topic- ” The Importance of Technology in the Administration of Justice in Nigeria: Post Covid-19 Era”,  with Chief O.T. Akinbiyi SAN as Chairman of Session while the erudite and technology savvy Law Lord, Hon. Justice E. A. Fabamwo was the Guest Speaker.

Ewenode, in his statement, said: he considered the invitation of the Ota Branch to discuss the rich Paper presented by my noble lord as one of the greatest privileges that should not be ignored but appreciated.

“Part of my discussion points were on the need to revisit and activate the laudable provisions contained in the Nigerian Judiciary Information Technology Policy Document, which are very germane in the area of Information and Communication Technology in the Administration of Justice in Nigeria today.

“I recall with nostalgia that the presentation and Discussions on the topic were very robust and enriching to both the Bar and the Bench.

“May i thank the Chairman of the Branch, my brother J. T. Ogunniyi, FICMC, the Vice Chairman, Adewale Adegoke and Lekan Daramola the Secretary of the Utter Bar.

“I also appreciate Pius Abraham, Past Secretary of the Branch and Chairman, Law Week Planning Committee as well as the Committee Members.

“Special mention is also made of the Chairman of the 3rd Session, Chief O.T. Akinbiyi, SAN and other Leaders and Elders of the Bar that were present who I was also privileged to share the high table with at the Dinner.

“I cannot forget Isaac Ogbah Esq, a Past Chairman of the Utter Bar, a humble Leader and builder of men who also was one of the Sponsors of the event through his famous Erudite Judgments of the Supreme Court (EJSC).

“My appreciation also goes to all the Members of the Utter Bar including Chief Mrs Ajose as well as the entire Young Lawyers Forum for hosting me and showing me great hospitality.
