The Enugu State Judiciary has commenced a virtual court hearing.

TheNigeriaLawyer learnt that the cases were heard in High Court No. 7 presided over by Hon Justice C.C Ani, PhD

The virtual sitting was said to be unprecedented in the entire Eastern region. The 3 cases that were heard in High Court 7 Enugu include Suit No. E/540/2017 between Nduji v. Ozoagu.

The Counsel in the matter were Anthony Ani SAN and Maxwell Orah Esq. The matter was for adoption of final written Addresses. Application for extension of time was heard and granted.

Another case was in Suit No. E/234/2017 between Awulonu v. Obasoanya. The counsel in the matter were C. J . Okeke Esq. and Uche Agusiobo Esq. Judgement was adjourned.

The last case was in Suit No. E/793/2020 between Udegbunam v. Moh. Counsel in the matter was N.D.Udegbunam Esq. Judgement ought to be delivered but was interrupted by a bad network and judgement was adjourned.

Recall that the Chief Judge of the Enugu State Judiciary, Hon. Justice N.P Emehelu, FCIArb, F.DRI, FICMC, had on August 11, 2021, announced the constitution of an ICT Committee on a virtual Court hearing to be chaired by Hon. Justice Ngozika Oji.
