Africa’s 1st Court Recording System (Q-soft Denovo), will be launched Monday 26th of July, 11am by H.E the Vice-President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON.
The Recording System is aimed primarily at eliminating longhand writing and reducing inmate transportation to Courts.
Q-soft Denovo, a solution developed by Funmi Quadri (SAN) & Co., not only records audio and video proceedings from the courtroom but also, in real-time, converts speech to text with amazing accuracy.
In addition, it also addresses the challenge of transporting inmates from the Nigerian Correctional Facility on a daily basis amongst others.
Considering the effect of the pandemic and the JUSUN strikes, it is urgent that a new approach is adopted in ensuring speedy dispensation of cases in our courts.
Interestingly, both the hardware and software components of this system are totally designed and made in Nigeria and the first of its kind in Africa.
Other distinguished personalities to attend the launch are Honourable President of the Court Appeal: Monica Dongban Mensem; Attorney-General of Federation and Minister of Justice: Abubakar Malami, SAN; President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata; and Controller-General Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa.
While physical attendance is strictly by invitation due to COVID-19 protocol, you can participate by joining virtually via the link below.
