The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Mudashiru Obasa, Thursday appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of financial impropriety.

The Lagos speaker is presently being grilled by operatives of the anti-graft agency.
Spokesman of the EFCC, Mr Wilson Ewujaren, said the speaker was at the EFCC on the invitation of the commission.
“He came in the morning. He came on the invitation of the commission and he is with us”, he said.
He could not say how long he would be in EFCC or when he would be released.
Obasa was alleged to have diverted funds to the tune of N250 million among other allegations.
