Ikechukwu Maximus Ugwuoke National Welfare Secretary candidate of the NBA has commended the Eastern Bar Forum EBF on their quarterly monthly meeting held over the weekend describing the gathering as a timely one.

In his message he said

“I was privileged to be in attendance of the EBF quarterly meeting held at Calabar from 3rd to 4th June 2022. It was indeed a gathering of great legal minds from the Eastern Zone of NBA.

Coming from Enugu branch of the bar, I am privileged to be a candidate for NBA National Welfare Secretary position who is resident and practising within the zone who expressed interest in the position and was cleared by the electoral committee of NBA to contest. I appreciate the privilege given to me at the EBF meeting to introduce myself.

Being a member of the Eastern zone of the bar gave me the advantage to understand and appreciate the welfare needs of the members of the zone and the robust discussions around the theme of the meeting tagged ” Insecurity and Injustice : Threats to Nigeria’s corporate co-existence”.

Insecurity and Injustice bedevilling Nigeria are also issues of concern to the bar and indeed everyone’s business. This theme is timely at this point in history of the nation.

Very instructive were the salient issues raised on the topic in the addresses presented by Attah Ochinke the chairman of the NBA Calabar Branch that hosted the meeting and Chief Uba Anene the Governor of the Eastern Bar Forum.

I enjoyed every moment I spent with the gentlemen of the bar at the meeting and the conviviality and friendly interactions we had. More powers to the elbows of the organizers of the meeting especially the host, NBA Calabar Branch .
