An Abuja based Senior Advocate of Nigeria and the Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association [NBA] Welfare Committee, Mr. Y. C. Maikyau, SAN, is felicitating with  lawyers across the country on the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, urging them to emulate His virtues of humility, perseverance and compassion.

The learned Silk said as we celebrate Easter, we must remain conscious of the essence of the season; the liberation of mankind from the dungeon of evil, not the least, from the pandemic which has plagued our entire world today. So, there is no better time to carry the consciousness of our liberty everywhere we go, than now.

“We must be reminded of the power of resurrection which now resides in us by reason of the rebirth that comes with the expression of our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Through His ultimate sacrifice and resurrection, Christ gave Himself as ransom to redeem the World.

“He came to illuminate a dark world, and His light continues to shine through dark times.

“May we continue to experience the illumination which that ultimate sacrifice brought to us in greater dimensions. May the Blessings of Easter abide with us all, our colleagues, friends, families and our dear nation- Nigeria.

“Have a blessed Easter celebration and stay safe,” Maikyau, SAN, added.
