Professor of Law at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, Professor Omoniyi Bukola Akinola, is set to deliver his first Inaugural lecture on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the University auditorium.

Prof Akinola, who serves as the Dean of the institution’s faculty of law, is expected to address the “Confluence of Professional Ethics, Corporate Governance, and the Training of Lawyers in the 21st Century”, and make recommendations on how the confluence of professional ethics and corporate governance may assist in the various reforms and training of lawyers in the 21st century.
The Lecture Is excepted to further X-ray Prof. Akinola’s contributions to a wide range of social and legal issues, including competition law, constitutional law, corruption, environmental law, and town planning law.
The lecture commences at 1 pm on Thursday, 8th September 2022 under the distinguished Chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor: Prof. Anthony Enisan Akinlo. As Dean, Professor Akinola has been able to undertake various academic reforms such as the implementation of the experiential learning component of clinical legal education, reforms in the University Law Clinic, interactive teaching methodology, periodic moot and mock trials for all Law students, hosting of monthly faculty lecture series/webinars, mentoring sessions for young academics, among others. It is worthy of note to state that the Redeemer’s University is currently ranked as the best Private University in Nigeria and 2nd best University in the country going by the last National University Commission’s ranking for the 2021/2022 academic year.
