The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch (Unity Bar), has extended a formal invitation to Mr. Dayo Ashonibare of Baze University, Abuja, to serve as a panelist at its upcoming 2025 Law Week.

In a letter dated June 10, 2025, signed by the Branch Chairman, Steve O. Emelieze, Esq., FCIArb (UK), the Unity Bar said the Law Week, themed “Unlocking Opportunities: New Frontiers,” will take place from June 18 to 22, 2025, at the NBA Secretariat, Central Business District, Abuja.

The event is expected to bring together leading voices in the legal profession to explore emerging trends and tap into untapped opportunities within the legal sector. Mr. Ashonibare has been scheduled to speak on “Approaching Legal Practice as a Business” during the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) session on June 20, 2025, at 10 a.m.

The Unity Bar said it was pleased to invite Mr. Ashonibare due to his widely acknowledged expertise and contributions to legal thought. His insights, they noted, would help foster meaningful discussion and inspire practical, business-minded approaches to legal practice.

“This year’s Law Week promises to be an intellectually stimulating event, featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive forums aimed at fostering deeper engagement and collaboration within the legal community,” the letter read.

Other panel discussions are also expected to take place during the weeklong event, alongside networking opportunities for lawyers across generations.
