COVID-19 Pandemic ; The Deadly Conspiracy For A New World Order – A Miserable Dawn Of Global Nightmare By Nelson Olumakaiye, Esq

Down the memory lane of history, nothing is probably more petrifying to mankind than the overwhelming cogitation of its very extinction. At first, this thought was received with a huge dose of skepticism, until reality set in, and Covid-19 was discovered.

Covid-19 Pandemic, is a dawn of global nightmare, and only the privileged would survive to tell the tale of this global hysteria.

The unsparing outbreak of Covid-19 has eroded the oddity as the pestilence strikes anyone within the parameters of its reach, regardless of race, age, gender, colour,tribe, achievements and class  and undoubtedly, after a long time, mankind is reminded again that all men are equal, even in the eyes of this virus. The global economy is at halt and perhaps, at lowest ebb. Governments and institutions across the world are on stalemate. Religious centres are shut down, market places are in desolate, our streets are empty and the city is deserted. The world in one word is atypically becoming unsafe for man, for once. Ironically, our homes are becoming our dead zones and every man is devilishly suspicious of another, regardless of affiliation. Laughably, this is the new norm and in today’s world, not too many would contend this assertion. Let me entreat right here, no matter how devastating this scourge is, or will be, this global pestilence will be over one day and new songs would be sang, but the question is who will sing these songs on mother earth? Humans, animals or another specie of being? I hope to find answer to this question. The walls of the world today is crumbling right in front of us all, and the sad truth is if this subsist or aggravates, the human race may go on extinction or witness a fatal loss of human.

Now, when faced with a gruesome and repulsive atmosphere as hideous as it is, we must resist the lure to cold-feet or consternation. We must approach this pandemic with a phrenetic blend of urgency and cautiousness. if we must survive this time and clime, to tell the tale of how we were on the brink of extinction but survived a horrible nightmare.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Covid-19 is the abridged term for Corona Virus Disease, 2019. Corona viruses are a large group of virus that are common among animals. In rare cases, they are what scientists called zoonotic, which depicts the fact that they can be transmitted from animals to human. In this case, it is a mutation of snake and bat. Covid-19 pandemic is the irksome widespread of this disease across the globe. It is an obnoxious reality that contends with our health and the lives of our loved ones. It is spread through direct or indirect contact with affected people or surfaces.  It is contracted through sneezing, coughing etc. Research has proven that there are over 80,000 confirmed cases, more than 10,000 persons had dead from COVID-19 infection across the globe and since this is largely contracted through direct contact with affected persons or surfaces, it becomes effortless to spread in crowded places and of course to the world within the twinkle of an eye. Sadly, As of today, COVID-19 has no cure. Scientists around the world are working very hard to develop a vaccine. Research revealed that a solution that will be certified by international and local medical authorities within the shortest possible time is yet to be discovered. Hence, the best and most efficient way to avoid getting infected is through regular hygienic and sanitary practices as well as social distancing. As individuals, we remain the greatest weapon to fight this pandemic. By washing our hands regularly with clean substances and disinfecting frequently used surfaces and areas, practise coughing into a tissue paper or the elbow and strictly adhering to infection prevention and  control measures.

Since the outbreak was reported in China, our Government acclaimed that they have been monitoring the situation closely and studying the various responses adopted by other countries. Indeed, the Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) was one of ten global health leaders invited by the World Health Organisation to visit China and understudy their response approach. It is more pathetic however, that in spite of this brilliant moves, we still fall victims to this pandemic. This is not the time to foist blame or condemnation on anyone, but a time to rise up to this challenging hysteria and fight till the end.

Although we have adopted strategies used globally, the implementation policies must be effective and the National Orientation Agency among a host of other governmental institutions should come alive.

THE DEADLY CONSPIRACY OF THE PANDEMIC; NIGHTMARE OF A NEW WORLD ORDER

The wisdom of man would always be laced with folly and no matter how vast he is in knowledge and qualifications, he grosses in oblivion of the truth that it takes humanity to safe mankind. Science without Humanity is fatal to mankind. If man allows the unbridled quest for power to drive him, then he is set to be driven out of his very existence, as he becomes lost in morbid curiosity for those things that were never lost.

As much as this aspect is the most augean to prove and externalize, we must learn to see through this pandemic and identify the pawns, the moves, the officials and in nutshell the game in play. This aspect might appear inconsequential or nugatory, there is no intendment to force it down the throat. There is an aspect of this pandemic that is string tied to the aprons of “world powers”. The sad manipulations of this global crisis would breed a new world order in the pretence of allegiance to superior powers seeming capable of combatting the crisis and subjugating the needy and annexing it to the new world order.

We must not bank on external factors in the fight against this pandemic. The most effective means is still social distancing and self isolation, but the government must genuinely take the door-to-door welfare of the citizens as her daily role, with this we shall overcome.

ROLES OF INDIVIDUAL-CITIZEN IN THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Considering the skyrocketing spate of this pandemic, and the daily report of fresh cases in national dailies, Covid-19 is holding the world to ransome and this fight must not be left for the government parastatals alone. Some of our roles include:

Reconsidering the over-blotted prices of commodities overnight: Nothing is more despicable in a time like this than seeing the prices of basic commodities becoming more expensive than gold mines. Neccessaries are becoming unaffordable, how do we survive this time with the unified unfriendly prices of every single commodity needed for daily up-keep? This is another nightmare. Goods are limited, circulation of fund is constricted, movements of individuals are restricted and life expectancy is getting sawed-off by the day.

Rekindle the dead sense of benignant understanding of humanity: There is an inherent betrayal of man to man from the inception of man, this is not a justification for its aggravation.. We must be fair to one another and resist the lure to take undue advantage of this predicament in the strife go maximize profits  and unjustly enrich ourselves at the detriment of another man’s life. In our quest to survive, we must restrain social interaction by practising social distancing with human face and self isolation with reasonableness, we must avoid the ridiculously extreme practices. We must cater for the homeless in our streets and parks, who barely have nothing to meet the basic and daily needs for safety. Individuals, regardless of the practice of social distancing must still show care and sympathetic understanding to fellow human and make those moments count in the lifes of the persons in need. You must live and let live. We must learn how to adhere strictly to medical and health tips.

Unsparing adherence to the Preventive and Control Guidelines stipulated by the appropriate health authorities: The unsparing use of nose guards and latex hand gloves must be encouraged and accepted as the norm for every individual regardless of the environment however hygenic, provided contact with someone is unavoidable. Citizens who have compelling reasons to go outdoor must be arrested and sanctioned accordingly if found without properly wearing the nose guard. Most times, the overlooked is often the crux of the matter. Do not take chances. Caution must be taken at all cost and by all means to reduce physical contact with people, foreign items and new stuffs from external environment. Observing these restraint would accentuate our chances of outliving this scourge together, that mankind may survive this nightmare.

ROLES OF GOVERNMENT, INSTITUTIONS & SOCIETY

In a challenging situation as hideous as it is with all today, the roles of the government is gargantuan, ranging from the placing of embargo on importation, immigration, foreign or alien visitations regardless of nationality, to the making and enforcement of restraint orders, to the provisions of food items, provisions, health items, beverages, stable electricity, water supply, subsidized rate of charges in telecommunications and internet facilities, disbursement of funds to the restricted citizens for daily upkeep of basic needs recruitment and training of volunteers in the fight against this pandemic.

Prudent utilisation of disbursed Public Funds and Donations: Not too many will discountenance the assertion that Corruption is synonymous to our identity. In light of this, Prudence and Good Conscience must be the instruction manual in the utilisation of funds and donations disbursed for the fight against this pandemic. Dishonest alterations in the figures of confirmed cases is fatal to our survival. Several records unveiled the donations from various institutions, philanthropists, organisations and corporate bodies which of course run to the tone of several billions of naira. Government should realize that if this funds are not utilized for the basic needs of the citizens who are observing the restraint order of self isolation, to protect mankind itself from the brink of extinction, we all would perish and not even one of the greedy personal would live to have a taste of the fortune if there is any intention to syphone these funds that was sympathetically donated for the preservation of our citizens and humanity. There can be no fair order of restraint to humanity where the observers are abandoned to live at the mercy and benevolence of a sympathetic neighbour. The order which was originally made to protect lives would result to an order that takes the life out of mankind.

Regularisation or Subsidization of Market Prices of basic commodities: In a time like this, it is saddening to realize that preventive items like the nose guards, latex gloves, sanitizer among other things are unaffordable to an average man as their respective prices are now in multiple of tens to a pair or piece as opposed to the initial prices before the Isolation order. I propose that the prices of basic commodities should defy the laws of economics at this material time. The economy is already at halt and stalemate. Basic needs of our daily life should not be unaffordable at this time. The Government should look into this area and subsidize the prices of these goods for the citizens to survive this hard time. Otherwise, crime rate would accentuate and hunger-death would be another scourge if heed is not taken.

As much as I do not compromise the very essence of religion, Institutional acts of random kindness must increase on daily basis. Our faith must have one common denominator. The Almighty father of all creation is God and it has been severally agreed by religious scholars that God is Love, as such, it’s high time our religion institutions admitted Love as the underlying denominator of every religion at this material time.

Religion Centres should volunteer and support humanity within there respective vicinity by donating food items and health materials: There is so much work to do at this time for humanity. Churches, Mosques, Fellowships, Halls and other organizations should volunteer in the distribution of food items, health items, preventive facilities, provisions, beverages, sanitizers among others to the homes and individuals within their vicinity and reach. This is a time we must practice one religion which is LOVE for humanity to survive. This gesture would bring hope and faith that we would pass through this hard time and come out stronger.

Banks and other financial institutions, Multinational companies and industries, public corporations and agencies, disbursement of basic and daily need items and funds to every citizen within irrespective of locality would amount to be an unprecedented social responsibility if considered at this time of great world trial.

PIf these piece is received with subterranean understanding, we can be sure that the prophesies of Thomas Hobbes on Life as short, poor, brutal and nasty may be revamped in better words.

CONCLUSION

Food Items, health materials,  beverages, provisions and funds donated by organisations, banking institutions and philanthropists should be evenly disbursed to the citizens across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria effectively to keep the people off the streets and prevent further gathering of individuals in the quest to get basic survival items. It would amount to a demonstration of miserable folly if at this time, any public officer or governmental agencies would shortchange, syphone and compromise the existence of us all for the donations received on behalf of the masses to fight this pandemic.

To this end, I beseech the government, volunteers, public agencies to let-go drama and rise to the true need of the masses. Safe the hungry masses who are compelled and restrained from hustling for daily bread through the Isolation Order. Take responsibilities for the daily up-keep of the basic demands of the hungry masses who are being boxed to an unfair corner of hardship. We are not the first to test run this recommendation, there are proven records that the results were remarkable where this policy was implemented.

We desire to have a government we could gladly smile and boldly affirm that, our lives were directly impacted and protected during a global crisis that threatens our very existence as human on planet earth. If not for anything else, Let us realize that our government touched our lives positively in a time of global unrest and uncertainty. Let us realize that our lives were protected by the government that truly values the lives of its citizens. Let it be known that humanity is preached and observed over politics and finance in this time, let it be known that our government took the fall for humanity to live another day.

Above all said so far, this is the time to understand that the existence of man is predicated upon one reality that is independendent of man. It is an eternal energy without which man is nothing and may be replaced from earth if recourse is not made to this source. It is the real invisible energy of all creations to which the wise tenders supplications.

Stay safe, stay at home. If you must step out, practice social distance, with the nose guards intact and your hand gloves. Disinfect every surfaces that are susceptible to touches.

Most Importantly, we must seek the Truth as a Nation, trusting the government of the world alone will only fetch us more doom and political drama. This is the only thing that could certainly set us free.
