The Lagos State High Court has stated that in compliance with the COVID-19 protocols and it’s hitherto the second wave, Judges will be sitting in turns.

TheNigeriaLawyer recalls that the Lagos State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Alogba had earlier directed the Court Registrars to always ensure a 48-hour prior notice of adjournment is given to counsel and the parties, in the event the Court will not be sitting.

Meanwhile, in a notice from the Lagos State High Court Registrar, a schedule has been fixed for the sittings of the Judges of the Court.

The notice states:

Honourable Justice. S.B.A. Candide Johnson Court Lagos will henceforth be sitting on Tuesdays, Wednesday’s & Thursdays until further notice.

Please be informed that Honourable Justice A.J. Coker’s Court 9. Criminal Division Ikeja will not be sitting form Monday 25th Jan – Friday 29th Jan sorry for the inconveniences. Signed Registrar.

Please be informed that Honourable Justice Emeya will be sitting only on Tuesday and Thursday for now due to the directive of the Chief Judge, thanks
