* Announces Gradual Opening Of Courts And Mediation At Multi-Door Court House

The Chief Judge of Enugu State, Honourable Justice N. P. Emehelu, FCIArb, F.DRI, FICMC, has released the practice direction for the remote hearing of Cases during this COVID 19 pandemic.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Chief Judge, Justice Emehelu, made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) dated 15th Day of May, 2020 and the same is to take effect on the 25th of May, 2020.

The Practice Direction provides that provision for Remote Hearings will be made in due course.

In the bid to bring the practice direction to life,  the Chief Judge ensured that a training session for clerks of the court started today in collaboration with Obra Foundation.

Justice Emehelu also announced the gradual resumption of courts and the Mediation at Multi-Door Court House.

Prior to the practice direction, the Chief Judge set up the ICT committee.
