The family of late George Nwokocha Uwechue SAN have announced burial plans for the former Chairman of the Body of Benchers who passed away in October 2023.

Special court tribute sessions will hold on January 17th in Lagos and January 25th in Asaba, Delta State to honor the life of the respected Owelle of Ogwashi Uku.
On January 19th, a night of tributes is scheduled at the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island while his funeral mass will take place on January 26th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in his Ogwashi Uku hometown.
He will be laid to rest immediately after the mass in his Azagba Road residence in the community.
Chief Uwechue SAN died at age 85 on October 29th, 2023 after an illustrious career spanning over five decades in the legal field. Tributes can be sent via www.owellethelaw.org.ng.
The former Chairman’s burial arrangements were disclosed by the Uwechue family as eminent Nigerians prepare to pay their last respects.
