*Traders Shutdown Market And Mobilize En Masse To Collect PVCs

Some traders from Alaba International Market were on Thursday, June 9, 2022 attacked by thugs who allegedly attempted to stop them from getting their PVCs at Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos state.
This comes days after the traders announced plans tk shut down their shops today to ensure all traders in the market get their PVCs ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
According to reports, the turn-up of the massive crowd at the registration point was overwhelming for the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who worked tirelessly to keep up with the number of new registrants.
It was later reported that some unknown thugs invaded the registration point with the aim of carting away the machines used by INEC officials.
The thugs were however resisted by the hundreds of traders at the location.
A video of the incident shows the excited traders cheering themselves for resisting the attempt to steal the INEC machines.
