The Harbour Point Event Center, Wilmot Point Close, Victoria Island, Lagos State received De Crème La Crème of the legal profession on November 19, 2021, at the programme organized by Wole Olanipekun & Co tagged “WOC Justice Summit 2.0.” under the chairmanship of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, SAN.

This year’s edition of the Summit was used to celebrate the 70th birthday of Chief Wole Olanipekun, OFR, SAN, LLD.

The Chairman of the event, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo showered encomium on the celebrant and described him as “one of Nigeria’s most consequential Nigerian constitutional lawyers” given his contributions to the nation’s legal jurisprudence.” The Keynote Speaker, Professor Olanrewaju A. Fagbohun, Ph.D, SAN also described the celebrant as mens sana incopore sano (a sound mind in a sound body)

Chief J-K Gadzama, SAN though earlier sent his goodwill message via an organized interview in commemoration of the 70th birthday of Chief Olanipekun but also physically attended the event to felicitate with the legal icon and his family. Chief Gadzama, SAN commended the organizers of the event as the panel of discussants harped on what needs to be done to reform Nigerian justice system.

The Panelists included Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje JSC (Rtd), Chief Judge of Borno State, Hon. Justice Kashim Zannah who spoke on judicial integrity, the fiery man of the people, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, Mrs. Funke Adekoya, SAN, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Mr. A.B. Mahmoud, SAN and the Key Note Speaker, Prof O. A Fagbohun, Ph.D, SAN.
