Entertainer and activist Charly Boy has called on supporters of the Labour Party (LP), known as “Obidients,” to occupy the streets of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in anticipation of today’s judgment from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT). Charly Boy emphasized that this move is necessary to reclaim what he believes is their stolen mandate.
In a statement shared on his social media handle, the controversial singer said, “We must retrieve our stolen future from these criminals or be ready to face the most horrific hardship ever.”
Charly Boy had previously expressed skepticism about the broadcast of the judgment, speculating that it might be a tactic to discourage Nigerians from gathering at the court premises. The PEPT is set to deliver its verdict on the case brought by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi challenging the election victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 polls.
The activist’s call for supporters to occupy the streets reflects the tense anticipation surrounding the impending judgment and the desire among some political groups to assert their claims to electoral justice.
Fellow Obidient’s,
Anyhow, we must occupy all the streets of Abuja before 6am. We will start with all the streets surrounding court house.
Nobody is dying tomorrow, we know about their scare tactics.
