The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced new managing directors and executive directors to take charge of Union Bank, Keystone Bank and Polaris Bank.

This follows the dissolution of the boards and managements of the three commercial banks on Wednesday over regulatory breaches.

In a statement on Thursday by Acting Spokesperson Sidi-Ali Hakama, the CBN named Yetunde Oni as Union Bank’s new CEO while Hassan Imam will occupy same role in Keystone Bank.

For Polaris Bank, Lawal Mudathir Omokayode Akintola comes in as Managing Director and Chief Executive.

The apex bank also appointed executive directors to support the incoming CEOs in steering the affairs of the banks.

The CBN said the new appointments take immediate effect as it moves swiftly to stabilize the banks and reinforce sound corporate governance.
