The Corporate Affairs Commission has commissioned an additional service office at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, as part of efforts to bring business registration and regulatory compliance services closer to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The new office was commissioned on Monday, July 27, 2026, by the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN.

According to the Commission, the TBS office was strategically established to support the Federal Government’s efforts to formalise small businesses, promote economic inclusion and improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

The Commission said the facility would provide business owners with direct access to registration, annual returns filing and other corporate compliance services without requiring them to travel long distances or rely unnecessarily on third parties.

The office has been equipped to enable Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to conduct transactions with the Commission in a faster, more convenient and efficient manner.

CAC said the expansion was also intended to address the needs of entrepreneurs operating within Lagos Island and neighbouring commercial districts, where thousands of businesses require registration and post-incorporation services.

The Commission maintained that bringing its services closer to business owners would encourage more informal enterprises to register, fulfil their statutory obligations and participate fully in the formal economy.

It added that the establishment of the TBS office reinforces its commitment to supporting MSMEs, promoting regulatory compliance and ensuring that entrepreneurs have easier access to quality corporate services.

The Commission said the initiative aligns with the economic programme of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly its focus on encouraging enterprise development, widening economic participation and creating a more supportive environment for small businesses.

CAC expressed optimism that the new office would reduce delays, improve service delivery and strengthen engagement between the Commission and members of the business community in Lagos.
