*As Customers Lament Errors, Logging In To The Portal

Following the system upgrade of the Corporate Affairs Commission, training has been flagged off in a bid to assist customers experience a seamless process in the usage of the portal.

This is contained in a series tweets sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer. The Registrar General of the CAC urged the participants to take advantage of the new portal to carry out their registration activities with ease.

The training which was flagged off Wednesday is for the Commission’s accredited customers which is expected to be conducted in two streams.

“In a bid to optimize user experience following the upgrade of its Companies Registration Portal, the Corporate Affairs Commission today flagged off a training program for its accredited Customers.

“Declaring the Training open, the Registrar General/CEO of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar Charged the participants to take advantage of the enormous potentials of the upgraded portal to carry out their registration activities with ease.” the tweet reads in part

“Represented by the Head Information and Communication Technology, CAC Mr. Obeta Ambrose Chinweike, the RG said the training was to be conducted in phases starting with 100 accredited customers divided into two streams.

“He therefore enjoined them to put into practice the knowledge gathered at the training in order to receive timeous results.”

According to the tweet, Speakers at the training include the Technical Assistant to the Registrar General, Mohammed Abdullahi and Assistant Director Registry, Oritsejolomi Ayomike.

It could be recalled that the CAC had on 4th January, 2021 opened its upgraded Companies Registration Portal CRP which now allows end-to-end registration to the public.

However, In another development  CAC customers have continued to lament, having regards to the difficulties they are facing in a bid to access the upgraded portal.

It was reported that attempt to access the portal is usually greeted with “user not authorized”, thus, inhibiting the registration process.

Reactions of customers is that the portal is not working. One Olajide Olawumi in reply to the CAC tweet said, “The newly upgraded Companies Registration Portal CRP is not working at all no single certificate has been processed from scratch to end since upgrade. There are lot of compliants from Stakeholders, no tangible response from CAC customer representative.”

A customer, Joseph Adonis CUSH had tweeted that “Please any advice on what to do with regards ‘User not Authorized’ error message at login? Thank you ans keep up the good work”.

Also, another customer reacted saying “I am having the same issues too @cacnigeria1, I don’t have access to my portal and it keeps saying ‘User not Authorized’. Please what can be done to rectify this issue . Thanks”.

Equally reacting, Mr. Muhammad Sani Muhammad said “The Portal is not working properly”.

Another Twitter user, F A H A D said, “People are having difficulties on the registration…
Especially now that No any approval Reservation or Registration…
Please do something so that everything will be in olace.”

Also, one Twitter user with the name Duke of Tiger Hood said, “I am having the same issues too @cacnigeria1 , I don’t have access to my portal and it keeps saying ‘User not Authorized’.
Please what can be done to recitfy this issue .
Thanks”

Musa El-Okene too said, “I need help please,  I couldn’t upload my documents since Dec. Last year and one of the CAC agents who decided to help said he had uploaded it, that i should wait for approval notification. I have not received anything till date. Somebody should help please.”

Ellesmere Solicitors also replied to the tweet as follows, “You have to keep refilling the forms over and over again once you re-open the application (3) I can’t access pending name approvals (4) your system issued me a receipt of 50,000 for 10million share capital which I paid only for CAC to query the application for under payment.

Meanwhile, findings by TheNigeriaLawyer revealed that the problem being faced by customers in accessing the portal could be a fault from the system portal. Though it is an issue that is unknown to the Commission.
