The Delta State Judiciary has announced that the High Court, Bomadi Judicial Division, which had been sitting in Ughelli, has resumed sitting in Bomadi following the recent posting of judges in the state.

The development was communicated in a circular dated October 6, 2026, issued by the Office of the Chief Registrar of the Delta State High Court of Justice, Asaba, and addressed to all chairmen of the Nigerian Bar Association branches in Delta State.

The circular, signed by the Chief Registrar, Mrs Eloho Okodiya-Onoriose, followed the recent posting of High Court judges dated September 28, 2026, which had earlier been circulated.

According to the judiciary, the Bomadi Judicial Division, which had previously been holding its sittings in Ughelli, has now returned to its designated location in Bomadi.

“I am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you that following the recent posting of Hon. Judges dated 28th September, 2026, a copy of which has earlier been circulated, the High Court Bomadi Judicial Division which had been sitting in Ughelli, has now resumed sitting in Bomadi,” the circular stated.

The Chief Registrar consequently directed NBA branch chairmen across the state to take note of the development and communicate it to members of their respective branches.

“Accordingly, you are kindly requested to take note of this development and to bring the content of this letter to all members of your respective branches,” the circular added.

The notice effectively informs lawyers, litigants and other court users that proceedings involving the Bomadi Judicial Division are to continue in Bomadi following its return from Ughelli.

The circular was issued under reference number DSHCJ/CR/656/Vol. 1/801.
