Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb(UK), is set to speak at the upcoming Business of Law Workshop and Networking Mixer organized by the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), Benin Branch.

The event, scheduled as part of the branch’s 2025 professional development activities, is themed “Connect and Cultivate”, and aims to equip young lawyers with the tools needed to thrive in the evolving legal landscape.

Akangbe expressed enthusiasm about participating in the workshop, describing it as a platform to inspire young legal professionals to transcend technical competence and build transformational careers.

“I am delighted to join the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum, Benin Branch, for their 2025 Business of Law Workshop and Networking Mixer,” he said. “I will be sharing insights on building and navigating the business and human dimensions of legal practice and a sustainable and impactful legal career.”

Akangbe, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), is widely regarded for his contributions to legal education, mentorship, and arbitration practice in Nigeria.
