The Nigerian Youth League (NYL) has formally recognised Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, Founding Principal Partner of J-K Gadzama LLP, with a special award for his outstanding contributions to the legal profession and youth empowerment in Nigeria.

Led by Ambassador Bashir Nasiru, the NYL presented the congratulatory message and award, praising Chief Gadzama’s “unwavering dedication and inspirational impact on Nigeria’s student and youth communities.” Nasiru described the legal luminary as “a beacon of excellence whose commitment to mentorship and nation-building ignites the aspirations of young Nigerians nationwide.”
With Chief Gadzama on vacation in Florida, Managing Partner Darlington Onyekwere, accompanied by Mark Chidi Agbo, received the NYL delegation at the firm’s Abuja offices. Onyekwere accepted the award on behalf of the Senior Advocate, expressing gratitude and reaffirming the firm’s commitment to youth development.
“This award reflects Chief Gadzama’s lifelong devotion to justice and youth empowerment. We deeply appreciate the Nigerian Youth League’s recognition and urge them to continue shaping Nigeria’s future,” Onyekwere said.
The NYL delegation highlighted plans to strengthen collaboration with J-K Gadzama LLP in areas including mentorship programmes, national citizenship campaigns, youth capacity-building initiatives, and educational advancement. Ambassador Nasiru emphasised: “Our partnership will accelerate progress toward sustainable national development. Together, we invest in tomorrow’s leaders.”
The ceremony concluded with mutual pledges to formalise joint projects in the fourth quarter of 2025, reinforcing shared values in nurturing Nigeria’s next generation of leaders.
