The event, which was recently organized by J-K Gadzama LLP, was chaired by the Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Justice Salisu Garba.
The keynote address was delivered by a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation, Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi SAN, CON.

The Chief host, Chief J-K Gadzama SAN, whilst making his opening remarks noted that young lawyers need to be treated better; however, he advised them to work hard, persevere and utilize their networks to build a successful legal practice.
On his part, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN urged lawyers to persevere within the profession despite the gloomy appearance that may be gleaned. Furthermore, he pushed the lawyers to add value before chasing financial gratification.
The representative of the Chief judge of the High Court of the FCT, Hon. Justice H. Y. Baba, motivated the lawyers to work diligently and await the rewards which would surely present themselves.
The hybrid event was well attended by lawyers who fell within the range of 0 – 10 years at the bar. On the first day, they were treated to a networking cocktail; thereafter, the main event which was the mentoring and training programme took place on the second day. The programme was capped off with a breakfast on the third day. Even though the event was heavily attended by lawyers, all COVID-19 protocols were duly adhered to.
The mentoring program is an annual event borne out of the J-K Gadzama LLP’s deep concern about the future of young lawyers and is established for the training and guidance of young lawyers less than 10 years post call ex gratis.
The scheme now in its sixth edition, aims at equipping them with the requisite skills, knowledge and etiquette for success in the Legal profession
The training usually features eminent serving and retired justices, learned senior advocates and other eminent legal minds who have achieved tremendous success In their practice
