Bandits who kidnapped 61 residents of Budah Hausa village in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State 3 weeks ago, have reportedly killed 5 of the victims and released 51 others.

It was gathered that 5 victims were not released and were still held in captivity.

The police were yet to react to the incident but a local vigilante confirmed to journalists that the 5 victims killed were all men.

According to him, “those released had suffered while in captivity, including children, who couldn’t even walk when they returned because they were chained for weeks. Very terrible; if you see them, you will shed tears because they really suffered, especially the men among them. 61 of them were abducted, 51 have returned, 5 killed in captivity, and 5 others are still with the bandits.”

“Among those released, two were shot in the legs while in captivity. Those who regained freedom and whose condition worsened have been rushed to the hospital for treatment,” he said. The police were yet to react to the incident but a local vigilante confirmed to journalists that the 5 victims killed were all men.
