Aswad Ayinde hides his face with a piece of paper during his sentencing at Passaic County Courthouse in Paterson on Friday.

When Nigeria’s Aswad Ayinde, 55, directed the music video for The Fugees smash-hit, *Killing Me Softly*, he made Nigeria proud, and hoisted its flag high. That was in 1996.

But today, Ayinde has become a scum, reduced to a gutter level. He did the most abominable. And has been jailed for 90 years in the US.

For a-55-year old man, even for a baby, it is a life jail.

Ayinde did what a few depraved men do in Nigeria, and get away with a slap on the wrist. But mistake. Not in the US.

He was found guilty of sleeping with his own daughters, and making babies with them.

As reported by the Mail Online, Ayinde who lives in Paterson, New Jersey, United States, was condemned to 50 years in prison on Friday. He was found guilty in the second of five expected trials for repeatedly raping his six daughters. The aftermath was the birth of six children.

One of the trials for which Ayinde was found guilty was for engaging in sexual activities with one of his daughters when she was as young as eight years. This second sentence adds to the 40 years sentence he was slammed with in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting another daughter.

In a mind-buggling revelation during his first trial, Mr. Ayinde’s former wife said her former husband wanted to create a “pure family bloodline”. The simplest method: impregnating his daughters. During a pre-trial hearing before the first trial, he claimed, like a brain-washed religious bigot, that “the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.”

In the current trial, it was revealed that he began having intercourse with his second daughter when she was eight-years-old. He impregnated her four times.

The sexual assaults on his children continued for almost 30 years, according to officials, until Ayinde and his wife separated. They occurred in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, and he never stopped inspite of the fact that his family was under watch of state child welfare officials, according to NBC New York. There were no-go areas for the venue of the despicable act, including an abandoned funeral home.

To avoid investigation after case workers removed multiple children from the Ayinde household in 2000, the family moved to Florida. The consequence was Ayinde’s arrest for kidnapping and for trying to take the babiies from state custody in a medical center, NBC New York reported.

In that instant, he pleaded guilty to lesser charges and received a year’s probation. Yet, that did not stop him from raping one daughter for at least another two years, according to officials.

Obviously depraved, he was, also, in the habit of beating and starving the girls using wooden boards and steel-toed boots for even “minor offences,” testified his wife, at the first trial.

“Some of the children Ayinde fathered with his daughters were born in the home, with at least two babies who died in the home having been buried without notifying authorities or obtaining birth certificates,” NBC New York reported.

“Ayinde’s tortured daughters were home schooled and isolated from other children, so as to keep the family secrets hidden,” the station added.

“With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit ‘Killing Me Softly” That earned him the crown of the ‘Best R&B Video’ at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards.
