Auta, in his statement on Monday, urged them to reflect on the state of the nation as it relates to the Judiciary.

“My special appreciation  goes to the Branch Chairmen, the Executives and the Bar Dinner Committee of both Branches, for the sheer industry and doggedness in garnering resources to put together events such as these in this time of economic uncertainty.

“The observance of this time honoured tradition and legacy is to ensure that the cord that binds members of our profession is not easily severed seeing as the Bar is all ours to preserve.

“As you dine and wine with one another in a more relaxed atmosphere, it is my hope and prayer that you also reflect on the state of the nation as it relates to our immediate constituency (“the Judiciary”) with the hope that our discourse in the days ahead will capture the essence of your reflections.

“I cannot end this good will message without appreciating our colleagues whose presence have lent credence to the work of the dinner committee.
