A member of the NBA National Welfare Committee and NEC Co-opted Member Auta Nyada, has eulogized the first female Senior Advocate of Nigerian, Chief Folake Solanke SAN, CON, LL.D, D.Lit, D.Litt., as she celebrates her 90th birthday.
Auta in his statement said, happy Birthday to a rare gem, an Amazon and a pathfinder.
“To us, you sparkle like a brilliant gem, and the years have not diminished your special glow; they’ve only made you more luminous which is why you’re deserving of being celebrated on your 90th birthday.
“Your giant strides and many achievements which you have accomplished through sheer hard work has made you a pathfinder not just for the female gender, but for all humanity.
You are the first female Senior Advocate of Nigeria and the first Nigerian female lawyer to wear the silk gown as Senior Counsel; this could not have been a walk in the park.
Today we celebrate your becoming and thank you heartily for being a pathfinder, and a beacon of hope through the years.
“Your devotion to the cause of gender empowerment and a mentor to younger women of several generations are beyond mere words.
