The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into the Bar Part II Course for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

In a notice signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, Aderonke O. Osho (Ms), the application process will open on Monday, September 1, 2025, while the academic session will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026. The programme will run simultaneously at the Law School Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, and across its campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola, and Port Harcourt.

According to the Council, the Bar Part II programme is open strictly to:

  • Nigerian law graduates from approved Nigerian universities, and
  • Foreign-trained law graduates who have completed and passed the Bar Part I Course at the Nigerian Law School.

Prospective applicants are required to visit the Nigerian Law School website: www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng for detailed instructions on the application procedure.

The notice emphasized that only candidates whose details have been forwarded to the Nigerian Law School by their university registrars will be eligible to apply. Each applicant must confirm with their university before making payment of the non-refundable application fee.

All completed application forms, together with references, must be submitted through the applicant’s Dean of Law and returned to the Nigerian Law School on or before Friday, October 31, 2025.

For approved re-admission and cleared referred admission cases, applicants are directed to check their names under “Re-admission” on the Portal before applying. They must attach a copy of the approval for re-admission or clearance letter to their application forms and forward them to the Secretary to the Council/Director of Administration, Nigerian Law School Headquarters, Abuja, before the same deadline of October 31, 2025.

The Council warned that late submission of applications will not be entertained, and urged applicants to note their application number, as it will be required to check admission status subsequently.
