The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the 23 state assembly seats in Kogi State out of the 25.
Omala and Lokoja 1 state constituencies are yet to be concluded, while PDP boycotted the rescheduled Mopamoro state assembly poll.
The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, was also reelected to represent Kabba/Bunu state constituency.
He was declared winner having polled 17,248 votes to beat his closest rival, Mr. Alfred Bello of the PDP, who scored 9,337 votes; followed by Mr. Aiyenale Fred of ADC, who polled 2,172 votes.
The Returning Officer, Dr Kizito Sunday, who declared the results at the INEC Collation Centre in Kabba on Sunday said Kolawole scored a total votes of 17, 248 to beat his closest rival, Mr. Alfred Bello of PDP, who scored 9,337 votes; while Mr. Aiyenale Fred of ADC, scored 2,172 votes.
“Mathew Kolawole is therefore returned as duly elected, having scored the highest votes in the election,’’ he said.
