APC claims website hacked after plagiarism allegation

This was after an article titled, Our First Priority is Keeping America Safe and Secure was seen on its website. The content of the article were quite similar to those on other websites, sparking allegations of plagiarism​. Part of the article read, “Assertively pontificate long-term high-impact testing procedures will progressively synergize timely action items and business “outside the box” thinking. Distinctively foster best-of-breed markets before collaborative schemas. “Authoritatively embrace tactical potentialities vis-a-vis low-risk high-yield architectures. “Completely administrate robust testing procedures vis-a-vis dynamic testing procedures. Globally fabricate functional intellectual capital for B2B e-services,” the supposed APC manifesto reads in part.” However, following the media outcry, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Lanre Issa-Onilu, raised the alarm in a press release on Saturday. The release reads, “Our attention has just been drawn to the fact that the APC’s official website, apc.com.ng has been hacked with unauthorised content posted on our pages. “I have instructed that the site be taken down. Steps are underway to clean it up, strengthen the security, and restore it as soon as possible. “We won’t allow the desperate people to succeed in their evil plots.” This is not the first time that the ruling party will be having issues with its online presence. It may be recalled that on April 14 and 15, 2018, the ruling party’s Twitter account was reported to have been sold to someone who paid hard currency for it.
