An object suspected to be a rocket bomb was discovered at the High Court Onitsha division, Anambra State, on Thursday, TheNigerialawyer, gathered.

According to the information from our source, the attention of the Assistant Chief Registrar and other lawyers were drawn to it, when a lawyer who was a former military officer discovered it.
The AIG was immediately alerted as well as the Nigerian Army Engineers and the military intelligence, Onitsha.
Our source said from the investigation, there is a ploy to bomb the High Court.
“The bomb was vibrating but because the lawyer has military background he had to defuse it.
“However, Division Police Officer, Fegge, CSP, Garba Rabiu with his team of police officers arrived the scene and has removed the Rocket bomb”, the source said, as gathered by TheNigerialawyer.
Another source, who was at the scene of said from his observation the Rocket was not recently planted.
“To me it does not appear to be recent. It could be a flood that carried it there and it was at the car pack not directly inside the court but at the entrance.
“My friend who is a military officer who was with me said, that this type of bomb does not explode easily, there has to be pressure or a leakage before it can explode.
“I don’t think it was that dangerous if not people wouldn’t have been there,” he said.
However, the Management of the Court, has called on the Bomb Disposal Unit of Nigerian Police to re-assess the court premises.
TheNigeriaLawyer recalls that during the #Endsars protest there was an attempt to set Onitsha High Court premises ablaze before the intervention of the police.
