*Says Amechi Udogaranya Died Of Illness

An Owerri-based lawyer, Amechi Udogaranya, Esq., has been reported dead.
Udogaranya, who was the Principal Partner at Amechi Udogaranya & Co., died of illness, TheNigerialawyer, gathered.
Owerri-based lawyer, Ekezie Kingstonjoe Onumajulu, informed our correspondence that Udogaranya, Esq., has been in the hospital for the past two weeks and was not killed by a stray bullet as reported by some online media.
“There is no way someone who is hospitalized will leave his bed to go pick his children from school and Juniors in his chambers told me he has been sick.”
Another lawyer, who is a member of the NBA Owerri, King Ehujuo, Esq, who shared the hospital receipt with TheNigerialawyer, said “Udogaranya died of illness and not stray bullet as speculated.”
The Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Owerri, Chinedu Agu, who confirmed on Friday, that Udogaranya was not killed by a stray bullet, frowned at the unverified reports.
He said: The Owerri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association is taken aback by the report of some news agencies and correspondents this evening that one of our colleagues, Amaechi Udogaranya, was killed by a stray bullet at Control Post today.
“While we frown at the unverified reports of some of these newsagents, we wish to set the records straight that our late colleague was neither at the said fracas scene nor was he killed by a stray bullet today.
“Alive, Amaechi Udogaranya was a seasoned practitioner, a fine gentleman, and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
“We, therefore, commend his noble spirit to the almighty God and commiserate with his immediate family, the Udogaranya family, and all those pained by his loss.
