A leaked draft court order has revealed an alleged plan to reinstate the pro-Wike faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly, setting the stage for them to impeach Governor Fubara, according to Politicsnigeria report.

The draft ruling, allegedly already written by Justice Donatus Okorowo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which TheNigerialawyer couldn’t confirm if real or fake because it is stamped or signed, would overturn a previous state court judgment that barred the pro-Wike lawmakers from parading themselves in the assembly. It would also give them legal backing to enter the assembly with security forces and resume legislative functions.
Legal experts warn Justice Okorowo’s improper ruling dangerously overrides state courts and rubber-stamps an unconstitutional coup.
“This is a frontal attack on basic judicial logic,” fumed attorney Chidi Odinkalu. “It risks plunging Rivers into mayhem.”
