Senior Advocate of Nigeria and 2026 Nigerian Bar Association presidential aspirant, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, has expressed appreciation to members of the NBA Kaduna Branch for what he described as a warm, inspiring and overwhelming reception.

Akangbe, who was in Kaduna to engage members of the branch and participate in their Law Week, said the visit reminded him of the true spirit of Bar fellowship and the importance of relationships within the legal profession.

In a statement titled “Kaduna Welcomes Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN,” he said the reception from members of the branch was both humbling and deeply inspiring.

“Kaduna has shown me nothing but love, warmth, and true Bar fellowship,” he said.

“The overwhelming welcome and heartfelt reception from members of the Nigerian Bar Association Kaduna Branch was both humbling and deeply inspiring.”

Akangbe said his engagement with lawyers in Kaduna, including moments of conversation, laughter and connection, reinforced his belief that the legal profession is built not only on law, but also on relationships, trust and unity.

According to him, leadership begins with listening, bonding and standing together as one Bar.

“As I continue this journey toward the 2026 NBA Presidential Election, I remain grateful for the outpouring of support and acceptance shown to me here in Kaduna,” he said.

“It is a beautiful reminder that leadership begins with listening, bonding, and standing together as one Bar.”

The senior lawyer said he was honoured to be in Kaduna to connect with colleagues and participate in the branch’s Law Week.

He thanked members of the branch for their warm embrace, describing the experience as unforgettable.

Akangbe assured lawyers that his vision remains the building of a stronger, united and more progressive Bar.
