The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN was spotted wearing blue suit and shoes which is alien to the rules guiding the dressing code of the call to bar ceremony and the legal profession.

It’s a matter of common knowledge that the recognized dressing code for the call to bar ceremony is as follows:

The men are required to wear a black suit with a white tunic shirt, black shoes and black socks, wig, and gown, collar, bib, and stud.

While ladies are required to put on a black skirt suit with a white Camisole/dress, black shoes, collarette, wig, and gown.

The question is what standard is the Attorney General of the Federation setting for the new wigs who wish to emulate him and also other lawyers across country?

And if this was a dressing that was adorned by a new wig, all hell would have been set loose as such dressing would have attracted a lot of backlashes and negative reactions from lawyers across the country.

However, there’s no section of rule or law mandating him to wear only black.

The only prescription is for court appearances, which is black or dark blue suit/shoes and white shirt.
