*As Chioma Angela Okeke Takes the Helm as ICSAN Abuja Chapter’s New Chairman

The Abuja Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) held its Bi-Annual General Meeting on April 17, 2024, marking the end of the tenure of the outgoing executive council led by Adedeji Adebiyi ACIS. The meeting also witnessed the handing over of leadership to the newly elected executive council members.
In his farewell address, Adedeji Adebiyi ACIS, the outgoing Chairman, commended all members of the Chapter for their unwavering support in promoting effective corporate governance in Nigeria. He challenged the incoming Chairman, Mrs. Chioma Angela Okeke ACIS, and her executive council members to demonstrate exemplary leadership that will showcase the Institute’s values to the world.
The outgoing executive council members who served the Chapter meritoriously for two years include:
- Mr. Adedeji Adebiyi ACIS – Past Chairman
- Mrs. Angela Chioma Okeke ACIS – Past Vice Chairman
- Mr. Babayemi Olaniyan ACIS – Past General Secretary
- Mrs. Abisoye Fadahunsi FCIS – Past Assistant General Secretary
- Mrs. Victoria Ogundipe Peters ACIS – Past Financial Secretary/Treasurer
- Ms. Olufunke Soleye – Past Public Relations Officer
The newly elected members of the Executive Council who will steer the affairs of the Chapter for the next two years are:
- Mrs. Angela Chioma Okeke ACIS – Chairman
- Mrs. Abisoye Fadahunsi FCIS – Vice-Chairman
- Mr. Simon Eromosele ACIS – General Secretary
- Mrs. Ebele Radizi ACIS – Assistant General Secretary
- Ms. Esther Nkopi ACIS – Treasurer
- Mrs. Ugonma Ewama ACIS – Financial Secretary
- Ms. Olufunke Soleye – Public Relations Officer
The Bi-Annual General Meeting of ICSAN Abuja Chapter serves as a platform for members to review the progress made by the Institute, discuss challenges, and chart a course for the future. The new executive council is expected to build on the achievements of their predecessors and work towards the growth and development of the Institute in Abuja and beyond.
