The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kaduna Branch, has formally unveiled the theme, official logo, and theme song for its 2026 Law Week, marking the commencement of preparations for one of the Branch’s most anticipated annual programmes.

Scheduled to hold from 15th to 19th May 2026, Law Week 2026 is themed: “Activate! Empowering Lawyers in the Digital Age.”

The unveiling, conducted on 10th March 2026 via a coordinated WhatsApp and Zoom release, signals the Branch’s commitment to equipping legal practitioners with the tools, mindset, and practical knowledge required to remain relevant in an increasingly technology-driven legal landscape.

In his address, the Chairman of the NBA Kaduna Branch, Baba Lawal Aliyu, FCIArb (UK), described the theme as reflective of the direction and responsibility of the modern legal profession.

“Technology is no longer optional. It is central to relevance, efficiency, influence, and leadership within the profession. Law Week 2026 is not merely an event, but a movement designed to prepare our members for the demands of a rapidly changing legal environment,” he said.

The unveiling featured three key elements:

  1. The official Law Week 2026 theme
  2. The digitally inspired Law Week logo
  3. The official theme song titled “Get Ready To Be Activated”

The logo integrates the institutional identity of the Nigerian Bar Association with contemporary digital design elements, symbolising the fusion of tradition and innovation.

The unveiling was coordinated by the Chairman of the Law Week Planning Committee, Idris Mohammed, FCIArb (UK), who stated that the Committee is fully committed to delivering a Law Week worthy of the Branch.

“This unveiling marks the beginning of deliberate execution. The Planning Committee will leave no stone unturned to ensure that Law Week 2026 is impactful, professionally delivered, and reflective of the standards of the NBA Kaduna Branch,” he said.

Law Week 2026 will span five days and will include:

  • Jumat prayer (Friday)
  • A Saturday community engagement event
  • Church service (Sunday)
  • Opening Ceremony and Keynote Address (Monday)
  • A full-day Masterclass focused on Artificial Intelligence and digital tools in legal practice (Tuesday)
