Ntuen is the member representing Essen Udim state constituency in the state House of Assembly. The presiding Judge, Hon. Justice Ekaete Obot gave the order following application filed by Barr Ekemini Udim, counsel to the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Onofiok Luke. In granting the order for interim injunction, the court restrained Mr. Ntuen from parading himself as the Speaker pending the determination of motion on notice filed. Justice Obot ordered that the injunction be served on Mr Ntuen in person and also be pasted on every conspicuous part of the Assembly complex to forestall breakdown of law by the sacked lawmakers. TheNigeriaLawyer reports that there was pandemonium in Uyo on Tuesday, when five members of the House of Assembly that were earlier expelled, reconvened to purportedly initiate impeachment proceedings against Governor Udom Emmanuel. The five members, all belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) however, had their gathering disrupted by the arrival of the governor. The arrival of the governor restored control of the House to the Speaker, Onofiok Luke, who in turn raised a motion demanding the removal of the new commissioner of police, Musa Kimo, who was accused of giving cover to the five APC lawmakers. Speaking after his intervention, Governor Emmanuel accused the police of working in cahoots with his predecessor, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to foist anarchy on the state. The governor also demanded the immediate removal of the commissioner of police, Kimo who has spent less than a week in the state.]]>
